The project will develop a group to advocate for and consult on the needs of adults with autism who use the full range of South London and Maudsley NHS Foundation Trust services. The group will offer consultancy for services on how they can meet the needs of the disproportionately high number of adults accessing mental health services who also have autism.
Ultimately the project aims to make these services more accessible and effective for people with autism, a group who have often fallen through the gaps in (mental) health and social care provision.
