The ORTUS Building
The RIBA award-winning ORTUS building was opened in 2013 at the heart of the campus shared by South London and Maudsley NHS Foundation Trust and the IoPPN at King’s College London. ORTUS hosts a vibrant cafe and a range of accessible meeting rooms and event spaces, all of which are operated by Maudsley Charity on a break-even basis.
As the home of Maudsley Charity, ORTUS offers an inspiring and dynamic space where anyone – service users, local people, researchers, students, clinicians and community organisations – can come together to learn and exchange ideas on mental health care, support and recovery and exists to benefit and inspire all those who walk through its doors.
ORTUS operates on a break-even basis for the benefit of the community, the charity’s partners and grantees.
Host your event at the ORTUS
The award-winning ORTUS has 1500m² of dedicated, flexible and fully-equipped event space with a café. It is an ideal venue for small or large conferences, meetings, training courses, academic lectures, receptions and a range of other events. It is a warm and welcoming building which is open daily to the public.
