As the home of Maudsley Charity, ORTUS offers an inspiring and dynamic space where anyone – service users, local people, researchers, students, clinicians and community organisations – can come together to learn and exchange ideas on mental health care, support and recovery and exists to benefit and inspire all those who walk through its doors.

ORTUS operates on a break-even basis for the benefit of the community, the charity’s partners and grantees.

We are open for all and taking part in Warm Welcome Spaces this winter, providing a warm place you can make use of and connect with your local community.

ORTUS will be closed from Friday 20th December, reopening Thursday 2nd January.

The award-winning ORTUS has 1500m² of dedicated, flexible and fully-equipped event space with a café. It is an ideal venue for small or large conferences, meetings, training courses, academic lectures, receptions and a range of other events. It is a warm and welcoming building which is open daily to the public.
