Peter grew up, and lives in Southwark. He is currently the Director of South London Mission, providing strategic leadership and vision for the charity which provides support to those who are in extreme poverty or are marginalised and vulnerable in other ways. Prior to his work in community development, Peter managed a patient complaints and liaison service in the NHS.
In a voluntary capacity Peter has been a school governor. He is a non-executive director of Peabody Housing Association, where he chairs their disposals sub-committee. He is also a trustee of the Peabody Community Foundation.
Peter is an independent trustee. The Maudsley Charity Board comprises eight independent trustees including the Chair (David Barclay), and three trustees nominated by the Board of South London and Maudsley NHS Foundation Trust.
