Nicola is a consultant psychiatrist at South London and Maudsley NHS Foundation Trust. She has over ten years’ experience in the Trust within adult services and she continues to work clinically across a variety of inpatient and home treatment team services.
Outside of the Trust, she has chaired the Royal College of Psychiatrists ‘Women and Mental Health’ Special Interest Group and has 10 years previous non-executive experience with the London based housing charity Single Homeless Project.
Nicola has recently been appointed to the role of National Data Guardian for Health and Social Care. The role exists to ensure the public can trust that health and care information is securely safeguarded and used appropriately.
Nicola is a Trustee nominated by South London and Maudsley NHS Foundation Trust. The Maudsley Charity Board comprises eight independent trustees including the Chair (David Barclay), and three trustees nominated by the Board of South London and Maudsley NHS Foundation Trust.
