From 2012 David Bradley led major transformations in mental health to improve patient care and the quality of services across south west London. This included securing support for two new state of the art £180m mental health hospitals, improving clinical pathways and creating award-winning alternative services to inpatient admissions like the Lotus Assessment Suite.

David joined South London and Maudsley as Chief Executive in July 2019. He has over 30 years’ experience working within the NHS, most recently as Chief Executive at South West London and St. George’s Mental Health NHS Trust.

David is a Trustee nominated by South London and Maudsley NHS Foundation Trust. The Maudsley Charity Board comprises eight independent trustees and three trustees nominated by the Board of South London and Maudsley NHS Foundation Trust.
