Nigel’s career began in professional football, he initially played for Manchester United and a number of other clubs before a career change to focus on property.
Nigel has developed significant knowledge and experience of commercial property development, largely but not limited to the retail sector.
Nigel has extensive experience as a board member of the John Lewis Partnership acting as director of building and group property services director for both John Lewis and Waitrose.
Nigel’s non-executive experience include a trustee role at Sported which works with community and youth sports groups to support sport as a developmental tool particularly in areas of social disadvantage. He has also held positions at the Mayor’s outer London commission and on Greenwich University architecture and construction board. He is currently a non-executive director at Bovis Homes.
Nigel is an independent trustee. The Maudsley Charity Board comprises eight independent trustees including the Chair (David Barclay), and three trustees nominated by the Board of South London and Maudsley NHS Foundation Trust.
