About our work
The Maudsley Charity supports the work of South London and Maudsley NHS Foundation Trust and the Institute of Psychiatry, Psychology and Neuroscience, King’s College London. Since 2010 we’ve committed £25m to funding projects across clinical services, research and local communities.
With funding ranging through supporting patients back into education and work, volunteering in the Trust, to the Maudsley Biomedical Research Centre, we’re here to back better mental health and make a real difference to the lives of the people we fund.
Each year we invite applications for grants in two of our programmes, you can see some examples of the types of funding rounds we run here.
We aim to ensure that money we award is used in the best possible way, and we have worked hard to develop a robust and effective framework to ensure we only fund the best and most credible projects.
We work with a wide range of people to ensure we make informed decisions, drawing on people who have knowledge and expertise in their fields. We are looking for more people to come forward as expert reviewers, volunteering their time (usually between one and two hours) and helping us to decide which projects to fund.
