The difference you can make

Major donations enabled us to contribute over £29m to building the Pears Maudsley Centre for Children and Young People, a pioneering new mental health treatment and research centre due to open in early 2026. We are the charity partner of the Kings Maudsley Partnership which will transform our understanding and treatment of young people’s mental health through a unique collaboration between specialist clinicians from the South London and Maudsley NHS Foundation Trust and leading academics at King’s College London.

The translation into reality of the vision for this ground-breaking facility was made possible thanks to major philanthropic investment, including an initial catalyst gift made by The Rayne Foundation, followed by a lead capital gift from Pears Foundation. With the building opening in 25/26, fundraising for innovative research and clinical projects has begun.
