Anchor

Our anchor grants achieve positive impact for beneficiaries, root us in our communities and our history. The scheme provides visibility and connection between the Maudsley Charity, people with experience of mental illness and staff and students in our partner organisations, South London and Maudsley NHS Foundation Trust, the Bethlem Gallery and the Bethlem Museum of the Mind.

Applications for the Anchor grant are now closed.

Grant details

Anchor Grants are longer-term commitments to four unique projects that cross boundaries in ways that bridge hospital, community and personal. They encourage two-way engagement between the charity and people with experience of mental illness, their families and mental health staff.

They benefit South London and Maudsley NHS Foundation Trust service users and staff but sit outside of core services. They are local and long-term projects that provide spaces that offer a non-clinical, holistic and empowering experience to those affected by serious mental illness and to help destigmatise and break down barriers.

The projects are:

South London and Maudsley Volunteering Service
Recovery College
Bethlem Museum of the Mind
Bethlem Gallery
