Maudsley Charity launches new core funding for voluntary and community organisations supporting people with severe enduring mental illness
Funding call launched to build sustainability in the community and voluntary sector in south east London.
We are excited to launch our new Community support programme that will offer core funding for voluntary and community organisations in southeast London (Croydon, Lewisham, Southwark and Lambeth).
Up to £30,000 in core funding, will be available, for up to 18 months. Eligible organisations include charities and community interest companies in working with people who are affected by severe, enduring mental illness. Maudsley Charity is particularly interested in seeing applications from organisations that can show how they effectively cater for the needs of racially minoritised communities.
Venetia Boon, programme manager said:
We listened to the needs of our local community organisations already supporting people affected by severe enduring mental illness. As a result, we’re prioritising core funding and will use video and site visits within the application process to help us understand the ethos of the organisations applying for this initial funding.
The programme opened for submissions on 1st October. The deadline for expressions of interest will be 11am on 12th November. Maudsley Charity will be hosting a webinar for potential applicants on 22nd October.
Community support funding is part of our Living Well with Psychosis grants programme.
